Position: Deputy Head Greenkeeper

We are building a team which aims to deliver exceptional quality both on and off the golf course; you will be an integral part in the development of the golf course to improve our local, regional and national standing.
We want to employ an enthusiastic, hard working individual, who can think for themselves and contribute positively to our established team, maintaining one of Yorkshire’s premier sporting venues. Reporting to the Head Greenkeeper, you will support the preparation, care and presentation of our outstanding course.
Key responsibilities:
• Deputising for the Head Greenkeeper when required
• Advising, supporting and enabling the Head Greenkeeper to develop the course to its full potential
• Mowing and setting up fairways, greens, tees and roughs
• Changing holes and tee markers, raking bunkers, maintaining course signage
• Turf management, including pest control and fertilisation
• Routine equipment checks and maintenance
• Upholding health and safety standards

Requirements:
Essential:
• Level 2 Certificate in Greenkeeping or Sports Turf
• Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 2–3 Greenkeeping
• Enthusiasm for outdoor work
• Interest in golf or sports turf
• Outstanding attendance rates
