Welcome to The Halifax Golf Club The course is OPEN for play Following torrential rainfall yesterday evening & overnight our Head Greenkeeper has considered the situation on our greens & decided it would be better not to cut for todays competition. The holes will be trimmed & bunkers raked for those willing to brave the elements today. The Met Office forecast is for a greater than 90% chance of heavy rain until 17:00 when it drops to 20% Temperature currently 10°c with a high of 14°c Wind 13mph gusting to 25mph. The 1st, 2nd & 17th greens were stimped at 6:30 this morning & read 8'-0" obviously the rain & a missed cut being the reason for such a drop off. ‘GUR Play Prohibited’ areas on the 9th & 13th fairways where drainage works continue to recover. Other areas of restricted play are clearly marked with white GUR paint, relief as required Please replace divots & repair pitchmarks, thank you
