Following our watering of the greens yesterday & overnight temps above 10°c, we are now seeing rapid growth of all our surfaces. Our Head Greenkeeper, now considers it safe to lower the cut height to 4mm. This will see an increase in speeds. Spenner has been out with the turf iron, which increases the ball roll quality.
Today’s Competition is a Midweek Stableford Multi-Tee event.
The 1st & 18th greens were measured for speed at 6:30 this morning, their speeds averaged out at 10’-0”
The forecast is for a less than 5% chance of rain throughout the day. A high temp of 20°c is expected mid-afternoon. Wind forecast is 12mph through the day with gusts up to 28mph.
‘GUR Play Prohibited’ areas on the 9th and 13th fairways where drainage works are recovering. Other areas of restricted play are marked with white GUR paint, please take relief as required
Please replace divots and repair pitchmarks, thank you
